Using a suede cleaner can revive and clean your suede shoes. By properly cleaning, we can bring them back to their former glory, no matter what you put them through. Here are five simple steps to using a suede cleaner
Step 1: Preparation
First of all, find a spot where you don’t mind getting a little wet or getting bounced by the mud. You’ll need a damp cloth or a sponge, some clean water, a suede brush and a bottle of suede cleaner.
Step 2: Remove the Dirt
Pull your laces out and clean them separately and wipe your boots with a damp cloth.
Step 3: Use the cleaner
Give the bottle a good shake and spray the boots all over. Scrub gently with a clean, damp sponge or cloth. Once you’ve scrubbed the entire boot, gently wipe and remove any excess cleaner. Be careful not to let the suede get too wet. Let it dry naturally.
Step 4: Use your suede brush
Once your boots are dry, use the soft rubber side of your brush to sweep gently and carefully over the suede. Please be sure that you brush from the same direction to another. Only in this way can keep your suede looking as fresh as possible.
Step 5: Re-lace your shoes
Put your clean laces back on, or get a new pair. It’s better to cover your shoes with a cotton dust bag to avoid getting new stains.
